KeneQol contains ubiquinol, the active reduced form of CoQ10, a vitamin-like compound essential for energy production. Naturally produced by the body and also available as a supplement, CoQ10 acts as a potent antioxidant and is found in the membranes of nearly every cell, where it supports mitochondrial ATP synthesis the process that generates cellular energy. Levels of CoQ10 in tissues gradually decline with age. While CoQ10 exists in two forms, ubiquinone and ubiquinol, it is initially produced as ubiquinone and then converted within cells into the more active and powerful ubiquinol.
